The shortest path from a new account to a working assistant on your website, step by step, with links to the details.

This page is the quick way through. Each step says roughly how long it takes and links to the full explanation if you want it. You need your website address, a few of the questions customers ask you most, and — for the last steps — access to your website's settings, or someone who has it.

## 1\. Sign in and create your business — 2 minutes

1. Sign in with a code sent to your email, or with Google. See [Sign in](https://konvuno.com/help/getting-started/sign-in).
2. Type your business name and your website address, then click Launch workspace. See [Create your business](https://konvuno.com/help/getting-started/create-business).

Konvuno starts reading your website in the background. A short tour opens on Overview — follow it or skip it, the steps below cover the same ground.

## 2\. Approve your first answers — 5 minutes

Open Knowledge. The scan of your website is waiting there.

1. Tick the draft questions and answers that are right, and add them. They go live at once. See [Review the suggestions](https://konvuno.com/help/knowledge/website-import#review).
2. In the **Business context** bar, click Review new version and accept the description of your business if it is accurate.
3. Missing an important question? Click Add knowledge → Add FAQ and type it in. Opening hours, prices, delivery and how to book are the questions almost every business gets. See [Add an FAQ](https://konvuno.com/help/knowledge/faqs#add).

No website? Skip the first two and add five to ten FAQs by hand instead.

## 3\. Add what you sell — optional

If you want the assistant to recommend products or services with a link, open Catalog and click Add item, or Import CSV to upload a list. Skip this step if you do not sell anything online — the assistant works fine without it. See [Add and edit items](https://konvuno.com/help/catalog/items) and [Import items from a CSV file](https://konvuno.com/help/catalog/csv-import).

## 4\. Make the widget yours — 3 minutes

Open Widget:

1. On Identity, name the assistant, upload your logo and write a one-line welcome. See [Identity](https://konvuno.com/help/widget/identity).
2. On Appearance, pick your brand colour. See [Appearance](https://konvuno.com/help/widget/appearance#colour).
3. On Behavior, add two or three suggested questions and your email or phone number, so the assistant can hand over to you. See [Behavior](https://konvuno.com/help/widget/behavior#contact).

## 5\. Try it yourself — 2 minutes

Switch the preview on the right to Test and ask the questions your customers ask. If an answer is wrong or missing, fix it under Knowledge and ask again. See [Test: chat with your assistant](https://konvuno.com/help/widget/preview-and-test#test).

## 6\. Subscribe and publish — 1 minute

These two steps are for the **owner** of the business.

1. Open Settings → Billing & usage, choose a plan and click Subscribe. See [pricing](https://konvuno.com/#pricing) for what each plan includes, and [Choose a plan](https://konvuno.com/help/settings/billing#subscribe) for the steps.
2. Back on Widget, click Publish. See [Publish](https://konvuno.com/help/widget/publish#publish).

## 7\. Put it on your website — 2 minutes

On the Install tab:

1. Add your website's domain, such as `example.com`, to the allowed domains. See [Allow your domain](https://konvuno.com/help/widget/install#domains).
2. Copy the snippet and paste it into your website — the tab has step-by-step guides for WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and more. See [Copy the snippet](https://konvuno.com/help/widget/install#snippet).
3. Click Check installation and open your website in another tab. Within a minute the card shows Widget detected. See [Check the installation](https://konvuno.com/help/widget/install#check).

Your assistant is live. If the widget does not appear, go through [The widget does not show on my website](https://konvuno.com/help/widget/troubleshooting).

Tip

Someone else looks after your website? Do steps 1 to 6 yourself, add your domain in step 7, and send them the snippet with a link to [the install guide](https://konvuno.com/help/widget/install). They do not need a Konvuno account.

## In the first week

- Read [your first chats](https://konvuno.com/help/conversations) under Conversations. They show you, in your customers' own words, what they want to know.
- [Answer the people](https://konvuno.com/help/leads/working-a-lead) who left their details under Leads — Konvuno also emails you when new ones arrive.
- Open **Missing answers** under Knowledge: the questions the assistant could not answer confidently. [Turn them into FAQs](https://konvuno.com/help/knowledge/missing-answers#add-faq) — a handful of new answers a week makes the biggest difference.
- Look at Overview once a week: how many conversations the assistant answered, and how many became leads. See [The Overview screen](https://konvuno.com/help/overview).

How other businesses use it

- **A pizzeria** goes live in a lunch break with its opening hours, delivery area and menu questions, and adds a catalog later.
- **A driving school** with a one-page website types eight FAQs about lessons, prices and exam dates, and asks its web designer to paste the snippet.
- **A B2B software company** lists its app's pages under hidden pages before it publishes, so the assistant only greets visitors on the marketing site.
