The widget does not show on my website
A checklist for when the widget is missing, out of date or not answering — in the order the causes are most common.
Work through these checks from the top — most problems are solved by the first three.
1. Is the widget published?
Open the Widget screen and look at the status at the top. If it says Draft — not published, visitors see nothing yet: click Publish. See Save, publish and take offline.
2. Is your domain allowed?
On the Install tab, check Allowed domains:
- Is your domain on the list at all? With an empty list the widget loads nowhere.
- Is it spelled exactly like the address in your browser's address bar?
- Does your site use a subdomain, such as
shop.example.com? It needs its own line —example.comcovers onlyexample.comandwww.example.com.
See Allow your domain.
3. Is the snippet on the page?
Open your website, right-click the page and choose View page source, then search (Ctrl+F or
⌘F) for cdn.konvuno.com. If you cannot find it, the snippet is not on this page:
- On WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and similar builders, check that you saved and published the change.
- If you pasted it into a single page, move it to a place that appears on every page — the footer or the site-wide custom code setting.
- If your website uses a cache or a CDN, clear it.
See Copy the snippet.
4. Is this page hidden on purpose?
On the Behavior tab, look at
Hide on specific pages. A line like /shop also hides every page under
it, and a bare domain hides the whole website. See
Hide the widget on some pages.
5. Did you just publish?
Changes reach your website within about five minutes. Reload the page, or open it in a private browser window to skip your browser's copy.
6. Does your website block outside scripts?
Some websites — often ones built by a developer, or with a security plugin — only allow scripts from an approved list, called a Content Security Policy. The widget is then blocked, and your browser's developer console (F12) shows a message mentioning "Content Security Policy". Send this to whoever maintains your website:
If your site enforces a Content-Security-Policy, allow Konvuno's origins: https://cdn.konvuno.com in script-src and frame-src, and https://api.konvuno.com in connect-src. Adding https://api.konvuno.com to img-src is recommended but optional — a blocked logo is embedded automatically as inline image data.
The widget shows, but says it is unavailable
If the chat opens but says Our assistant isn't available right now. Leave your question and we'll get back to you.
, the widget is installed correctly —
Konvuno has paused the answers. That happens when:
- your plan's conversations for this billing period are used up — they come back at the start of the next period, or straight away if you move to a bigger plan; or
- there is a problem with your subscription, such as a failed payment.
Check Settings for your plan and usage. The widget comes back by itself once the cause is fixed — you do not need to publish again.
Still stuck?
Use Contact support in the help menu at the top of the dashboard. Tell us your website's address and what you have already checked from this list — it saves a round of questions.
